I have a friend across the country that has SM64DS, and I thought I'd bring this to light. He was playing Tall Tall Mountain trying to get the 100 coins. He decided to go to the sky instead of the slide to get his 100th coin. He was flying around and got the star to appear above nothing. When he went back and got the star he just fell to his death. No landing on the invisible floor at the bottom, no "I got a star" dance, just fell to his death. He was pissed because he hates that level and didn't want to have to do it again. Well, it turns out it recorded that he got the star, but didn't record the coins as a new record, so it shows that he got the 100 coin star but has a record of 44 coins in that level. Okay, so it's been forever and 16 days since I've been here, and I probably won't be around much anymore, but just thought since I mentioned this I'd post this so you all would be able to see it. This is probably the worst picture I've ever taken, but at least it's visible. What the fuck is that ? In tall tall moutain why did u get the 100 coins star with 44 coins

I've put a few of my own SM64 DS glitches on TGO; they're not terrible. But there's one flaw to finding glitches in the DS version: the backwards staircase flying doesn't work.

I just got the DS the day before Thanksgiving. I was playing with it recently, and unlocked Mario and I guess the next big thing is doing BitDW. The controls are hard to get used to, seeing that there are three modes which make it hard to get fully used to one. I keep finding myself switching between the stylus and the + pad.
One of the cutest sounds I heard in this game is Yoshi's sound when he does his flutter kick.
I did, however, hear glitch reports of this game that suggests that it doesn't have the same boundary violation rules as the original. There are multiple reports of Mario "falling into the darkness" and then being brought back up by hitting A or B. There is also supposed to be a way of flying outside the boundary in front. It looks like this may be our chance to find a way to swim under the castle.
When I did the first bunny I found out that I can't pick him up again after he gives you the item he has. He just talks to you. So you'd have to catch him right at the spot where you would need him to glitch through a wall.
I noticed that the black room of death is not black anymore, but they actually made it look like the areas they lead you into, just like they did with the fake stair rooms.

You're right about the last part. Although, the room of death is a thin corridor with a bitmap of the area in it.
