I know no one has found a way to, but I have a slight idea . Maybe someone could find a way to do the stair-slide up the first set of stairs, could just repeat the glitch on all three staircases, and only have to fight the final bowser. If anyone could try this out(my N64 is broken) I would appreciate it.

Using stair jump doesn't work as if you glitch your way through the door without using the key there's an invisible barrier So if you want to beat the game with 0 stars you would need to glitch through the first bowser door and the 30 star door, or the basement door and the 30 star door, either way you would need to glitch through at least two doors both of which i think are impossible

I think he used a gameshark with the superspeed code.
I haven't heard of any glitches that let you get into that room before.

oh. but still if itd just a glitch and not a cheat device i want to know how you got in there still. because the glitch gets you to the toor that leads to the area with wdw without using the staircase

The glitch your thinking of is jumping through the wall to bypass the stairs. That doesnt apply here as the stairs (and the door out ) aren't loaded, and the glitch spot is behind the barrier anyway. And yes i used the speed code to get through, to demonstrate that it is impossible to bypass the door, you HAVE to have the key to advance.

Someone in the submit glitches said he has a game save with 7 stars, some of which are from courses upstairs. Naturally he "doesn't remember" how he got this. He didn't specify whether the key door remains locked. He could have glitch through the 8- and 30-star doors. So it would really amount to beating the game with 0 stars and 2 keys.

I posted at that topic with a possible explanation as to how it is possible.

Ah. Understood. Perhaps they preformed a glitch that could've (somehow!) redirected one of the enterable doors (such as the door to the basement) to the Bowser Hall, got that key, and from there used the rabbit to beat the Bowser 2 and unlock Bowser 3. Just a guess, we really need more info, like which Bowsers are accessable. For now, mEgAsHoT shouldn't do anything which would alter the save file. Never save, mEgAsHoT. At least not on the 7-star Glitch File.

Yeah. David Wonn has a few glitches on his site (for one of the Zelda games) that result in an old save file being mapped over a current one (this can be used just for fun or if you're lucky to restore deleted save data)
It's entirely possible that a freak glitch occured and a similar thing happened, mapping an old 7 star file over a current one, but leaving access to the basement and upstairs.
If only there was a way to do something like this consistently.
