Speaking of Endless Stairs, in the DS (and since the camera is even more easily manipulated in the N64 version), you can find out how they made the stairs endless.
Aim the camera at the doorway leading to the bottom of the stairs, and keep the camera in that direction as you run up the stairs. You'll notice at short regular intervals that that area enlarges, it gets closer...and with the map on the DS you can also discover the secret of the stairs: there's an invisible wall that, instead of blocking you, warps you back when you touch it!

I think almost everybody knew that there was a warp wall, after all, a good glitcher doesn't just know how to perform a glitch, he must also be able to explain the glitch and how it works You need to know how basic coding works, like how the majority of glitches are "Clipping" related, allowing you to bypass an object that was supposed to perform an action upon contact.

Yeah, that was just how to prove the warp wall to a younger sibling, or someone either too average, too young, or too glitch-unacquainted to look at the DS map and notice the warping (or understand explanations about invisible barriers and warp walls and so forth).

You mean like an 8 year old? I'm pretty sure that all of the people visiting SC are above the age of 12, but there are a select few I'm uncertain about...
I'm looking at one time posters!

speaking of the endless stairs, on SM64 DS, you can long jump (normally) very quickly up the stairs, but not enough to break through the door. On the endless stairs however, if you go fast enough, your character will bump into an invisible wall. I think that "wall" is there because they don't want you to get to the top w/o 90 stars and/or mario using speed.

Heehee... Sorry, I couldn't resist pointing out that you just said "Mario using speed". That'd be funny, Mario on speed. Y'know, the amphetamine? Once again, sorry, that was uncalled for.
