I HATE it when people send in an egg and call it a glitch! What's worse, people even send in stuff that was IN THE MANUAL AND TEXT BOXES and call it a glitch!!! And even CHEATS and GLITCHES get MIXED!!! *jumps up and down, screaming in rage* Something must be done...

Are there any examples in particular that you're thinking of?
I've been planning for a while to write a guide to what is and isn't a glitch, but then I worry that people will refrain from sending in cool stuff because they think it's not a proper glitch. The main aim of the site is to spread fun stuff, there doesn't have to be a strict definition of what is and isn't allowed.
(For example, the scarab gun in the Halo 2 section is an easter egg, but a) It's cool so I mentioned it, and b) You have to pull off a glitch to get to it.)

I think what she's talking about is when people send in stuff like the Yoshi text glitch in SM64 and call it a glitch. It's not exactly a glitch, just a programmer screw up. But it's still cool to know, so I agree with Dom. Whether it's a glitch or not, if it's unintended and it's cool, we should have it here.

Remember pokemon RB? I doubt anyone remembers it, but you could keep a critter from evolving by pressing "b". Yet, it was sent in as a glitch. There should be seperate sections for eggs/glitches/cheats/misc.
BTW, Just out of curiosity, I once caught missingno on three different cartridges...And nothing happened. But I found out if you took it out of the computer, it would freeze, but if it went straight to your party, you were fine. So far, only gamesharks have killed any of my game data.

Actually, I've put MISSINGNO. in the PC many times and took it out without any harm. Only MISSINGNO.'s hazardous "identical twin" (named "--'M--, replace the dashes with glitch blobs taken from random 8x8px. areas of the screen) does that. In fact, even catching 'M is highly dangerous. MISSINGNO.'s a glitch, but is MOSTLY fine. The only game where you can find a deadly MISSINGNO. is in Yellow.

But yeah, I hate it when an egg, unlockable, or cheat is called a glitch or even a secret. A SECRET is a non-glitch hidden by the programmers, like one of Luigi's rabbits being on the castle roof in SM64DS. An EASTER EGG is a reference to something hidden in the game, like the Mario bobblehead in one of the Metal Gear Solid games (shoot it for a 1UP). A CHEAT is a cheat code in the game, like the Secrets function in LoZ: Oracle of Ages/Seasons. A GLITCH is an abnormality, a fault in a system, like MISSINGNO., 'M, the SSBM Freeze, the SSBM Freeze-Arwing, the SSBM Stuck-To-Mewtwo, the Pokemon GSC Poke-Clone, the SM64 BRoD, the SM64DS "Flood TTM", the SM64DS "Fall in the WDW Crates", the SM64 Dry-Pipe, the SM64 and SM64DS "Skip WDW Loading Point", the SSB "Flying DK", the Pokemon R-S-E-FR-LG "?" and " ?", the SM64 save file with 7 stars and access to the Basement and Top Floor, the SM64DS "Big Boo in the Void", the SM64DS "Keep the Camera Outside the Walls", the SM64, SM64DS, and LoZ:Oot, and the Loz:MM "Use First-Person View (C-Up or X) To See Through Walls", the Goldeneye007 "Clone Bond in Multiplayer", the "Swordless Link" glitch in LoZ:OoT and all sub-glitches, the SA2B "Get outta Chao Garden", the invisible platform in SA2B's Chao World area, the Debug Code in StH, the error in the Zerg Mission in Starcraft (and by the way, that IS a cheat, but the error message isn't part of it. The error is a glitch), and the-- you get it.

Oh my, aren't we angered easily? It only counts if you have to use a glitch to get it, and even then the glitch to find it should be mentioned.
